The founders of Cheeky Monkey Child Behaviour Consultants, Kristie and Belinda, realised there was a lack of services for teachers, parents and children in the area of behaviour management.
They believe early intervention is the key to success with young children and they want to make it their job to assist teachers, parents and children to reach their true potential. With over 25 years of combined experience in the field of child behaviour and education, they are excited about sharing their expertise with others through their range of services.
Kristie
Kristie has a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Special Education and holds a Masters Degree in Special Education (Behaviour). She has been working in the field of children's behaviour in various settings for the past 15 years.
She has worked with many difficult children with specific needs and inspires to make sure that every child achieves every success possible. Her exceptional communication skills puts both parents and teachers at ease when planning, programming or presenting workshops.
Kristie holds firm that with consistency, commitment and a practical approach, parents can teach their children appropriate behaviours. She has seen first hand parent and child relationships turn around and the bond between parent and child strengthen.
Kristie is a mum of two energetic boys and knows first hand how challenging children can be. Her passion for children, teaching and ensuring that every child reaches their true potential drives her to help parents and teachers in their challenging job.
Belinda
Belinda is well known throughout children's education services in Sydney for her expertise in working with parents, teachers and children in the specific area of behaviour management. She has a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), Graduate Certificate in Emotional Disturbances and Behaviour Disorders and holds a Masters Degree in Special Education (Behaviour). She has been working in the field of children's behaviour in various settings for the past 10 years.
She regularly develops innovative behaviour plans for children or groups of children with specific needs ensuring that they achieve their desired outcomes. She successfully develops and implements training packages for teachers and parents in effective behaviour management practices. These workshops empower teachers and parents to try new techniques and will give them strategies that enhance their confidence and practices.
Her down to earth, realistic and practical approach is extremely popular with her clients. She is passionate about early intervention and sharing her expertise with parents and teachers to enhance their skills ensuring that every child meets their true potential. Belinda is a mother of two and understands the difficult job of becoming a parent.
